SAM Loves to Read
On Thursday, September 28th, we invite you to drop by SAM School from 5-6pm to meet and listen to two local authors and pick-up some great tips and tricks about reading at home with your children. Also that evening, stop by our "SAM Used Bookshop" - it's a great way to pick up some extra books to read at home!
If you are interested in donating any gently used children and young adult books, please bring them to your child's classroom by Monday, September 25th.
Featured Author - Kathy M. Kelley
Kathy Kelley is a proud SAM parent and one of our featured local authors. Kathy became motivated to write a children's book to help support young people with their own mindfulness journey. Her book "One, Two, Three, Meditate with Me" is an International Book Awards Finalist with IntlBookAwards.com.
Featured Author - Richard Bird
Richard Bird is a grandfather and avid reader who has spent his career leveraging his love of words into creating beautifully written materials. He brings his passion to life in this children's book, "Goobletygok", inspired by his relationships with his grandsons. Richard is originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and has lived in St. Albert for 21 years.
